Dear Parents and Carers,
Let’s make music!
It was super to see so many pupils and parents showing interest
in the Music for Schools programme. Richard Wilton from the Music
for Schools Foundation gave a thorough description of the lesson
and instrument arrangements available. The children present enjoyed
the experience of playing an instrument at first hand!
Family Learning
Thank you to all family and friends who generously gave up their
time to take part in the Family Learning Afternoon organised by
Mrs Griffiths for Class One. The array of toys and activities
was fascinating.
Bewerley Park Visit
This week was definitely action packed, raft building, rock scrambling,
and pancake racing to mention but three! Everyone (including myself)
had to dig deep into their reserves of energy and tenacity. It
was super to see the children tackling their challenges with a
generally positive attitude and a good deal of perseverance. Several
Bewerley Park staff complimented our group on their behaviour,
attitude and good manners. All year four, five and six pupils
should be very proud of themselves. Thank you to everyone who
made this successful event possible.
SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning)
Next half term our whole school will be considering the part of
the programme entitled ‘Good to be me.’ Key aspects
to be addressed are: Self-awareness, Managing Feelings and Empathy.
Please support your child with the activities they bring home,
they can be fun!
Dinner Money
The cost of a school meal is £1.80 (£9.00 per week).
If you would like to pay in advance the cost for next half term
(18 Feb – 20 Mar) will be £43.20. Please send you
money on the first day back at school in a labelled, sealed envelope
– cheques to be made payable to Scotton Lingerfield Primary
School.
